Under Construction
Ok, I’ve been hanging around the web long enough to know that all web sites are under construction, but this one is really under construction. The information on this page is pretty much accurate, but much of rest will be changing often. If there’s any justice in the universe, we should have a reasonably solid site in place by the beginning of class on August 27th. Until then, bear with us.

Welcome to the TIP Web site! The Technology Integration Program’s goal is to facilitate and encourage student and faculty interaction with emerging technologies at the College of William and Mary. This interaction ranges from using collaborative writing tools already created by TIP, like blogs and wikis, to the creation of entirely new products to serve individual learning, teaching, and research needs.
Effective use of instructional technology in the classroom enables and promotes increased communication within classes, between classes and beyond. Some of TIP’s services include focused research groups, brown bag sessions, workshops, speakers, faculty grants, and student help. Faculty can make an appointment with their own department’s Academic Specialist and Technology Engineer to address individual needs and to find solutions collaboratively.
This site offers information about our staff, current and past faculty, faculty technology projects, upcoming events, and access to resources for our supported technology tools. Our blog spotlights and showcases William & Mary faculty who have integrated technology into their classrooms in exciting and innovative ways.
The possibilities for technological integration are virtually limitless. We hope that you will take the time to see what your colleagues have done, and consider adopting and implementing instructional technologies tools and emerging technologies in your own learning, teaching and research projects.
